There are several things players should never do that cannot be prevented feasibly with code and therefore it is up to the individual's responsibility as a guest of Our Place to uphold. The following rules, when infracted, will be dealt with using our justice system. Please see JUSTICE.

1) Player killing or "pkilling". If you have a problem with another person on the mud, resolve it in an amicable and mature manner. Player killing is limited to the battlefield.

2) Player Stealing. Stealing from another player is prohibited.

3) Spamming and unreasonable complaining or whining. Repeating yourself more than once on any of the communication channels is annoying to other players. Constant negativity, whining or com- plaining over public channels is also discouraged. There are other means in which you may express negative feelings to the other players, founders, directors, imps and imms.

4) Summoning dangerous mobs to uninvolved, populated areas. Do not place other players not involved in your activity in jeopardy by summoning aggressive mobs to the immediate area or left in an area where this danger is unexpected. On the same note, do not summon unwilling players into dangerous areas.

5) Use of bugs in code. Any loophole in code you find to your advantage should not be used, but reported immediately.

6) Inappropriate use of the 911 channel. 911 is for emergency use only. When a player needs help to get his or her corpse, a plea should be made once or twice at the MOST on the 911 channel. Replies to the distressed party can be made in tells, do NOT use 911 to reply unless group organization is required in the circumstance.

7) Powerleveling. See POWERLEVEL.

8) Illegal multiplay. See MULTIPLAY.

9) Continually asking Gods if you can be an imm. Imm's are chosen for reasons much deeper than constant pleading. The imms of Our Place are chosen for a myriad of reasons, including common sense, fair mature judgement, ability to deal with people, mud knowledge and industriousness. Asking to imm continually will most likely work against you than for you.

10) Never abuse rights gained as a builder to give advantage to your player character. This will result in swift denial.

11) Scripting: See SCRIPTING.

JUSTICE

Our Place is a very friendly place. But, we recognize that it is sometimes necessary to discipline some of our family. Justice at Our Place is swift but merciful. Disciplinary action will usually be one of the following:

1. Jail time - You will find our jail an interesting place to spend your time.
2. Equipment loss - You may be asked to surrender some or all of your equipment.
3. Level Loss - You have to be really bad to lose a level.
4. Denial - Denial is the last resort for players deemed unsuitable for our family
5. Site Ban - Site ban is for unsavory scum who ruin things for the rest of our happy family.

POWERLEVEL

1)Interfering with the mob your newbie is about to kill. This can mean knocking it down in hps and letting the newbie kill it, casting warpflesh and or other spells which make the mob not actin a manner it was meant to behave if only the newbie had attacked. This can also mean summoning mobs away from surrounding which would hamper normal newbie progress or even something as simple as putting the mobile to sleep either to gain the advantage of supprise or to prevent an aggressive mobile from attacking your newbie. Rescuing your newbie or a character grouped wity your newbie from certain death is prohibited.

2) Casting anything on your newbie while the newbie is fighting. Examples include healing your newbie while they fight, casting sanct back on your newbie when it runs out, casting any other advantageous spell on the newbie during the fight.

3) Grouping your newbie if he/she is outside the 15 lvl range or the 30% range and then killing things (dragging). Grouping for crs spells and touring is acceptable.

What can be considered merely helping your newbie and not powerleveling are acts similar to the following:

1) casting spells such as sanct and combat mind prior to and/or after the fight.
2) healing the newbie before and/or after the fight
3) getting eq for the newie
4) grouping within the lvl range stated.

MULTIPLAY

Our Place has a flexible set of guidelines for multi-play. Multi-play is the playing of more than one character by a single player. A single person may have 2 characters in "active" play, and a third in "reserve" play. The reserve character must be either in a temple or a clan room. Use of automatic triggers on reserve characters is not allowed.

The intent of this rule is to prohib people from establishing healing or spell robots for general use. Any player with four characters on at a time or three players outside a temple or clan room WILL get introduced to the the OP Justice System with no warning.

We require, not only to enforce this rule, but also in the event that you lose your password, that you inform us of ALL sites you call from, so some form of verificaiton be made. You may or may not recieve test e-mail to that address.

Character sharing is prohibited. Play your own characters. If in the event there is an emergency such as a linkdead character in an aggro area, or similar. Try to inform an immortal.

SCRIPTING

Using scripts to gather items and fight mobs is illegal on Our Place. This does not mean Tintin actions designed to react to triggers, but a program that is designed to move and act in a certain manner without the operator even needing to be watching. Those of you that have used them know what this means. Your character will face immediate deletion after being warned.
